Alyson M. Harter

Alyson's practice is focused on the representation of owners, developers, and landlords in the acquisition, financing, development, leasing and disposition of various types of commercial real estate, ranging from multi-family to office to retail property types. Her practice and experience includes drafting and negotiation of complex purchase and sale agreements, ground leases, office and retail leases, construction agreements, loan agreements, operating agreements, partnership agreements, private placements, development agreements, and easement agreements. She frequently assists clients with structuring partnerships, joint ventures and exit strategies in connection with real estate transactions. Alyson also has experience in mergers and acquisitions, counseling clients in a variety of industries seeking to sell their businesses.

Additional Information
Alyson began her career with a law firm in Switzerland assisting in mergers and acquisition transactions involving international corporations. After returning to the United States, she practiced in Atlanta, Georgia for eight years until moving to Richmond and joining Kaplan & Frank, PLC in August 2011.
