Practice Experience
Mr. McQuade is a partner of the firm, and a member of the firm’s Development and Real Estate Investment Group. He specializes in commercial real estate transactions which are financed through the issuance of real estate securities. Mr. McQuade regularly represents some of the largest sponsors of private REITs and tenant-in-common syndications in the United States in the acquisition, financing, and disposition of real estate throughout the country. His experience has included defeasances of securitized loans, mezzanine financings, analysis of payment-in-lieu-of-taxes (PILOT) structures in multiple jurisdictions, acquisition of hospitality assets and associated real estate, real estate acquisition by a Delaware Statutory Trust, and ground lease negotiation. Mr. McQuade has closed real estate transactions with value in excess of $8 billion, including multiple transactions with value in excess of $100 million. He also regularly represents national telecommunications companies on tower, antenna and facility leasing issues. Prior to joining the firm, Mr. McQuade practiced at Hirschler Fleischer, PC in Richmond, Virginia, where he was a member of that firm’s Real Estate Securities Practice Group.
