PAUL D. ANDERS

Paul is a member of the Firm's Litigation Practice Team. He is an experienced litigator who represents and counsels businesses in all aspects of commercial litigation matters before federal and state courts throughout the United States.

Paul has represented and advised local, regional and national securities broker/dealers and their employees in a variety of matters, including FINRA and NYSE customer arbitrations, broker employment disputes, broker "raiding and recruiting" litigation, regulatory matters with FINRA, NYSE and the SEC, as well as general litigation matters. In addition to broker-dealers, Paul has represented regional and national banks, mortgage brokers and other commercial entities in a wide range of litigation matters, including cases involving breach of contract, fraud, conspiracy, tortious interference, breach of fiduciary duty, U.C.C., among others. In recent years, Paul represented companies and individual officers in connection with several notable class action securities litigation matters.

Paul also practices in the area of insurance coverage and litigation. He has represented both insureds and insurers in coverage disputes and has defended insurance agencies, agents and brokers in errors and omissions cases throughout the United States.

Paul has been recognized as one of Virginia's "Legal Elite" among civil litigators by Virginia Business magazine and as a "Virginia Super Lawyer" in the area of Securities Litigation by Law & Politics magazine. He is AV® rated by Martindale Hubbell Law Directory, which is the highest quality and ethics rating possible for attorneys.

Additional Information
Paul began his legal career in 1990 with the firm of Hunton & Williams in its Richmond, Virginia office, and was a partner at Wright, Robinson, Osthimer & Tatum (1996-2000) and LeClair Ryan (2000-2008), also in Richmond. He is admitted to practice before the state courts of Virginia, as well as the U.S. District Court for the Eastern and Western Districts of Virginia, the Bankruptcy Court for the Eastern District of Virginia, the District of Colorado, and the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Fourth and Sixth Circuits.
